The Stigma of Drugs
Are you one of
the people who have been into drug addiction or have you ever witnessed the
effects of it? Perhaps, it is better to know where this addiction can bring
you. Drug addiction is one of the serious problems of the present times. It
refers to the obsessive and repeated use of dangerous amounts of illegal drugs
and the appearance of withdrawal symptoms when not using it. Drug addiction can
only hinder us from reaching our goals or dreams in life. People sometimes feel
they are too enlightened, too powerful, and too much in control to become
addictive. Addiction can trap anyone. It can lead to harming ones body and
health. Drug addiction is very dangerous because it gives negative
psychological effects and physical effects to the users.
Having bad physical effect of using
drug is another reason why drug addiction is dangerous. Physical effects of
drug addiction all begins in the brain. It changes the way the brain functions
and impacts how the body perceives pleasure. Negative physical effects of drug
addiction are also seen in babies of drug users. Another physical effects of
drug addiction is the paleness of the face and the weakness of the body. As we
can see, addicts have big red eyes and very thin bodies. They desire to engage
in risky behavior which is the common reason of crimes in our place. If users
continue to abuse using drugs, these negative physical effects may lead them to
sickness, and probably even death.
In conclusion,
although the problem of drugs may seem difficult to eliminate, there are
concrete steps that can be taken away to weaken the hold of drugs on society.
Solutions to this problem must be implemented strictly and correctly for the
peace and tranquility of the place, free from clutters and free from deviance
of the law. Imprisoning the drug users is one of the best way to discipline and
warn people not to use illegal drugs. If they still continue in using, it is
better for them to be killed rather than just be tolerated which can possibly
made them crimes or any mess in the society. The danger of drugs is too great
to ignore. We must act now to save those people who have drug addiction
problems in order for all of us to prevent from the negative psychological and
physical effects brought by this. But we should always remember that abstinence
is the safest way to live a longer and healthier life.
